Fantastic read。 Just as enjoyable as the first two Thursday Murder Club books! Compelling plot, likeable (loveable, in fact) characters, laughs and tears。 Loved it and stayed up far far too late to finish it!

Read over one long day。 The gang of pensioners in the south of England is back, and they are adding to their ranks。 Another ridiculously complex murder story, and lots of lovers and friendship and musing on life。 Liked this one more than #2。

I think these are getting worse one book at a time but they are still entertaining enough to read。 As they are so easy to read, it doesn’t take up much time so I may as well keep reading them for now。 This one was a little too predictable - perhaps osman is whipping them out a bit too quickly!

I just can’t describe how much I love these books。 The variety of voices, the humour and the truly touching moments in these novels just fill my heart with joy。 I want Richard Osman to give up all his televisual endeavours and just write these books。 I don’t want to have to wait another year。

Again a great take told well。Nothing to dislike, the Thursday club plus,Chris, Donna, Bogdan, Patrice, but now more new fascinating people, not very nice people but interesting。 Worried about Stephen ,but that will come to light in book four。 Great story

Disappointed not to feel the same love for my friends in this one。 Joyce feels like she's a different person。 The story is ok, but not as fulfilling a read as the second or the first, which is still the best。 Disappointed not to feel the same love for my friends in this one。 Joyce feels like she's a different person。 The story is ok, but not as fulfilling a read as the second or the first, which is still the best。 。。。more

Once again Richard Osman has delivered a masterful book full of suspense, mystery, and most importantly: humour。We join Joyce, Elizabeth, Ron and Ibrahim on not one mystery but two, that will combine in the most delightful way, and by that I mean in ways that you will not anticipate or twists you won't see coming。 The Thursday Murder Cub (god I wish I was part of something like this now, let alone when I am in my retirement) does not let us down, and are soon helping the police solve a crime a l Once again Richard Osman has delivered a masterful book full of suspense, mystery, and most importantly: humour。We join Joyce, Elizabeth, Ron and Ibrahim on not one mystery but two, that will combine in the most delightful way, and by that I mean in ways that you will not anticipate or twists you won't see coming。 The Thursday Murder Cub (god I wish I was part of something like this now, let alone when I am in my retirement) does not let us down, and are soon helping the police solve a crime a little close to home。I always love Joyce's diary entries, and Elizabeth's dry wit。 But this time we see some much needed development to Ron, and with Ibrahim recovered from the events of the last book, we see him at his best。Osman does amazingly in making us see the uses of the older generation, and maybe making those who don't see them as still people, as people。 The humour, wit and skill which he writes with just pulls you in from the first paragraph。 Another triumph! 。。。more

“But he is in love, and he accepts that will bring its own challenges”。⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5I’ve waited a year for this book, and let me tell you it definitely worth the wait。 The third instalment of Richard Osman’s terrifically charming series was a complete and utter hoot from start to finish。 It is funny, charismatic, tear jerking and best of all, easy to get through。 It’s never hard to finish this book within a few hours, but what a few hours they turn out to be。 The storyline this time, although not “But he is in love, and he accepts that will bring its own challenges”。⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5I’ve waited a year for this book, and let me tell you it definitely worth the wait。 The third instalment of Richard Osman’s terrifically charming series was a complete and utter hoot from start to finish。 It is funny, charismatic, tear jerking and best of all, easy to get through。 It’s never hard to finish this book within a few hours, but what a few hours they turn out to be。 The storyline this time, although not as complex as previous books, was just as planned out and noticing as usual。 The one thing I did note is that this book was less emotionally driven, and more comically led。 Not that I minded, but I did miss the moments where I’d cry like a baby on one page and on the other laugh hysterically。 But theme the breaks。 Yes, I am already preordering the fourth instalment, and yes, I cannot wait。 Roll on next September! 。。。more

When I'm old I want to have a group of friends to solve crimes and have wines with。 Like all the other books there is a lot going on with our favourite retirees but they always come out the other side。 I love that the friends keep meeting new people to join their little gang of friends。 The friendships work so well together, I did enjoy the friendships a little more in the first two books though。 Bring on book 4! OMG, this series just gets better and better!Richard Osman had an impressive break-out his with his debut mystery, The Thursday Murder Club。 This is old news, but it bears repeating because what he did with that first novel is lay down the foundation for the subsequent books in this series。 His sophomore novel was equally impressive, and now with the third entrant in the series in as many years, he may have crafted the best one yet!Or, he may not have。 The thing is, they're all good, and for the OMG, this series just gets better and better!Richard Osman had an impressive break-out his with his debut mystery, The Thursday Murder Club。 This is old news, but it bears repeating because what he did with that first novel is lay down the foundation for the subsequent books in this series。 His sophomore novel was equally impressive, and now with the third entrant in the series in as many years, he may have crafted the best one yet!Or, he may not have。 The thing is, they're all good, and for the same reason。 Mr。 Osman is a master of character。 This series' success is built on the foundation of the four absolutely wonderful characters that comprise the Thursday Murder Club。 They're all retirees, and all so completely different from each other, but they somehow fit together like a perfect jigsaw puzzle。 They're each so well drawn, and just so freakin' lovable, that I defy you to resist a single one。 And each character brings so much to the table--in terms of forwarding the mystery plot, in terms of comic relief, in terms of getting readers invested。 But it's not just these four。 The cast of supporting characters continues to grow。 In addition to various relatives and law enforcement friends, this novel features several bad guys。 Each and every one of them is fascinating, and in their own way, appealing。 One of them is as charismatic as she is truly dangerous。 That's a hard balancing act to write, but Osman is a master。 His mysteries are always well-plotted and paced, but again, everything that happens in these books comes back to character。 The denouement of The Bullet that Missed happens in several stages。 Every time I would think: That's it, it's over--but then there would be a little more! So, the ending is not rushed。 But it is so very, very satisfying!I was fortunate enough to get my hands on an advance copy of the audiobook。 It's very well read by Fiona Shaw。 But there's another bonus--a 40 minute interview with the author at the end。 It was quite interesting throughout, but my biggest takeaway from the interview is that he's currently working on book four of the series for next year, but then he plans to take a break and launch a new series。 I have mixed feelings about this, as I love this series so very much。 However, I have great faith in Mr。 Osman's skills as a story-teller。 I shall look forward with increasing anticipation and gratitude to each new offering! 。。。more
